TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT
Timing belt is also called Camblet and it maintains the synchronous operation of crankshaft and camshaft with each other. Consequently, it maintains the closing and opening of valves at the right times, so that they do not clash when the piston rises up. It maintains the engine’s bottom half in synchronism with its top half. It is actually a rubber belt which regulates the timing of the internal combustion engines of the vehicle. This is critical and if the timing belt fails to function, the engine may incur severe damage. Timing chain or belt connects the crankshaft to the camshaft(s), which then controls the closing and opening of the valves of the engine. The construct of the timing belt differs among engines. In a 4-stroke engine, the valves should close and open for once in every revolution cycle of the crankshaft. In certain engines, the function of the timing belt is also to operate other components of the engine, for instance, the oil pump and the water pump.TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT
